Life Within: Interactive Installation
My first projection mapping project inspired by The Carrier Bag Theory of Fiction by Ursula K. Le Guin, in which the author frames the development of technology as devices to sustain life, or “Life Stories,” rather than as tools to control or threaten life, or “Killer Stories.”
Life Within creates an illusion of a box holding life within itself, represented by the flowering plant, which can be interacted with by the audience through body tracking. This projection reflects the stories of environmental life cycles that surround our lives and continue to persevere and thrive, despite being increasingly impacted by human-technological activities.
